Beyond the Ordinary: A new generation of superheroes
I'm developing a collection of original superhero characters and stories, exploring the extraordinary circumstances that can transform ordinary people into something far beyond human.
Many of these characters owe their remarkable abilities to a mysterious phenomenon known as Neogenesis, a complex biological and potentially extra-dimensional process triggered by a combination of physical trauma, environmental influences and quantum phenomena.
Neogenesis is neither fully understood nor entirely predictable. Its effects vary dramatically from person to person, sometimes granting extraordinary abilities that defy conventional science. But with these newfound powers come challenges, responsibilities and consequences that their recipients could never have anticipated.
These stories are still works in progress, with characters, adventures and an expanding fictional universe continuing to take shape.
I'd like to introduce you to a few of these remarkable individuals.
Urx
Urx was an ordinary man whose chance discovery of an ancient alien installation transformed him into an extraordinary superhero.
Gifted with enhanced abilities, formidable armour and a mysterious sword called Severance, he can manipulate darkness and travel through the Shadow Realm.
Silver Sentry and Cronus
Silver Sentry is a journalist turned superhero after a solar energy accident gave her extraordinary powers. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, flight, near invulnerability, and can create powerful radiant javelins.
Cronus, formed by the C.R.O.N.U.S Project, the only survivor of their attempts at creating new super soldiers.
Cronus is a formidable superhero possessing immense strength, near-invulnerability, high-speed flight and the ability to unleash devastating gold-white plasma blasts from his hands.
His extraordinary temporal vision allows him to witness events from the past.
ArcAngel
Arcangel is a technologically enhanced superhero whose advanced power suit allows her to generate devastating electrical blasts, deliver powerful shocks and manipulate or disable electronic systems.
Capable of flight, protected by advanced armour and equipped with sophisticated targeting systems, she combines intelligence and electrical firepower to formidable effect.
Kharbyn
Kharbyn is a towering, living carbon-composite powerhouse possessing extraordinary strength, immense durability, exceptional endurance and rapid regeneration.
His abilities also include enhanced spectral vision (infrared, ultraviolet and low-light), while his near-impenetrable armour and remarkable physical resilience make him exceptionally difficult to injure.
Nocturne
Nocturne is a formidable, black-armoured warrior who can instantly summon his mystical armour, shield, cloak and enchanted mace, granting him exceptional protection against physical, energy and magical attacks.
A skilled combatant and tracker with extraordinary environmental awareness, he can detect, identify and dispel powerful magic, shatter enchantments and glide using his cloak.
Riptide and Sigil
Riptide is a Danish teenage superhero with powerful aquatic abilities, including water-breathing, water control, resistance to cold, and hyper-swimming.
Sigil is a young British scholar and shapeshifter who gained magical powers after discovering a mystical artifact in Scotland. By inscribing magical sigils, she can ward, bind, create illusions, and manipulate elements, while also possessing shapeshifting and teleportation abilities.
